Rare cabinet size!
11" composition, "Baby Sandy" full jointed, tin/lashed sleep eye doll with
included vintage pin
.
She is a doll designed by Ralph A Freundlich
between 1939-42 .
She came in sizes from 8" - 20".
This charming
little 11" doll
is in very nice shape, (
some areas lightly restored & retouched)

No missing broken or loose chipped pieces. All her body parts are her own without any replacements.
Her greenish tin eyes are nice too(no repaint) with original lashes.
Open smile with two teeth showing and velvet red tongue.
"Hair" paint looks good and is original. "BABY SANDY" printed on back of head
.
She is strung very well and can stand on her own.

Baby Sandy (the wonder baby) was actually "Universal Studios' " answer to another Shirley Temple child star
( a real funny little baby!)

In real life her name was Alexandra Lee Henville and acted till age 5.
She made a few movies, had her own series....and her movies were popular for a few years and made the studio a lot of money!
